This study presents an implementation of an elastoplastic constitutive model, developed within the context of bounding surface plasticity theory, for predicting the nonlinear behaviour of unsaturated porous media. An effective stress based framework, similar to the work of Khalili et al. [1], is followed for model development. A hysteretic and void ratio dependent soil water retention curve (SWRC) model is adopted [2]. The model is implemented using a recently developed meshfree method, called smoothed point interpolation method. The numerical scheme is verified, and the application of the model is shown through several numerical examples.
